Garage Door Repair, Sales and Installations

I telephoned Best Overhead Door this morning (1/12/2022) and was promptly greeted by a live person “Roy”–not a message recording! After a brief conversation during which he was courteous and very helpful, Roy said he would be at the house between noon and 2pm.

Roy showed up very promptly, right around noon, and after we discussed terms he promptly replaced the broken spring and reconnected the cable.

Our door had only one spring (broken spring was a 30-inch torsion) and needed one of the cables re-attached; we paid $265.

Home Advisor (updated Dec 22,2021) stated “Garage door spring repair costs an average of $250 for both materials and labor with a typical range between $150 and $350 which includes replacing two springs. A bit further down the webpage Home Advisor stated “Torsion spring replacement costs anywhere from $75 to $150 per spring, including both materials and labor” and “A professional charges $75 to $200 for the cables alone, but usually charges less when you combine them with your springs.”

My husband and I were so happy with Roy’s work and manner; very courteous and he was very willing to answer questions.

I am very pleased to recommend Roy at BEST Overhead Door Co. of Stockton, and happy to distribute BEST Overhead Door Co. cards/stickers to co-workers and neighbors.

Attitude and prompt communication are so important and so very much appreciated, in addition to a good job overall. A little consideration on how you would like to be treated goes a long way, and Roy stepped up to the plate.

P.S. I contacted a competitor on Monday (Jan 10, 2022) around 7:30 am; the phone connection was poor and the person I spoke with said I would be contacted later that same day. Never got a call back that day or since. Then this morning (Wed 1/12/2022), two days later, someone from the competitor showed up knocking on the door, without talking with me first by phone, and he said there would be a charge of $150 just to look at the problem whether he was hired or not. I was very disappointed in the two days of lapse in communication, in the way the technician just showed without prior consent, and how he handled the situation. I sent him on his way.

Then Roy from BEST saved the day when he showed up around noon – clean, courteous, and ready to get the job done on the spot. What a difference! Thank you again, Roy and BEST Overhead Door!
